- DSPPack v3.2:
Warning: please make sure to update PlayerPro, the WidgetPack and the DSPPack to the latest versions available on the market (respectively version >2.42, version >2.6 and version >3.2).
Support for gapless playback and crossfade in PlayerPro is only be available through the DSPPack (v3.2 and above). This is because Android has no native support for these features. If you have not yet installed the DSPPack and would like to try it out, please follow this link and installation instructions: PlayerPro DSPPack.
- New icon and welcome screen.
- Gapless playback support (activated by default). Can be disabled using Audio Settings > Gapless option. When using gapless playback, it is recommended to set the Audio buffer size to "Medium" value or above ("Large" or "Very large").
- Auto crossfade support (activated by default): crossfade to the next track when currently playing track ends. Ability to adjust auto crossfade time and to enable/disable "auto crossfade when shuffling only" option (see Audio settings > Crossfade section).
- Manual crossfade support (activated by default): crossfade to the next track when currently playing track is skipped. Ability to adjust manual crossfade time (see Audio settings > Crossfade section).
- Added option to activate native effects with the DSPPack (see Audio settings > Native > Native effects). When this option is activated, PlayerPro uses native Bass Boost and Virtualizer effects (the volume control from the audio effects screen is replaced by a Virtualizer control). This option is available for Android > 2.3 phones only. Please use this option with caution as it produces unexpected behaviour on certain phones and/or ROMs.
- Added option to adjust playback priority (see Audio settings > Audio priority option): use this option only in case you are experiencing playback skipping and setting the audio buffer to the maximum value doesn't help.
- Improved smoothness of the seekbar.

- Audio settings menu update.
- Notification status enhancements (ICS phones only):
- New control button icons (play/pause and next).

- Added support for bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 for CyanogenMod Roms ONLY (EXPERIMENTAL). Note: Android does not have any built-in support for AVRCP so AVRCP support will tentatively be integrated on request and when possible for very specific Roms.

- Other bug fixes.
Release v2.34 - 26 February 2012
This release is mainly a patch release:

Release v2.30 - 04 February 2012
This release brings new features and few UI enhancements:
- Smart playlists support: smart playlists allow you to create playlists that only include items that fulfill certain criteria (such as Artist, Album, Year, Duration, etc). For example, you could create a smart playlist that only contains songs with a rating of four stars or higher and have "Miles Davis" as artist.
Smart playlists are automatically updated each time you access them, so that you don't need to re-create them each time you add new music to your library. Please note that in order for smart playlists to work correctly, your music files must have accurate metadata.
The smart playlist editor can be accessed in two ways, depending on whether you are creating a new smart playlist or editing an existing one:
- To create a new smart playlist: from the playlist browser, open the options menu and select the "New playlist" option.
- To edit an existing smart playlist: from the playlist browser, long press on a smart playlist and select the "Edit" option (you can differentiate between a smart playlist and a normal playlist thanks to the star on the bottom right of the playlist icon).
To create a smart playlist, you must fill in the following fields:
- "Name" is the name of the smart playlist. It should be unique.
- "Number of songs" is the maximum number of songs to be included in the list.
- "Selected by" is the criteria that will be used to select the songs.
- "Match" defines the way rules will be matched.
- "Plus" and "Minus" buttons can be used to add/remove a rule. A rule is composed of a criteria, an operator and a value. For example: criteria="Album", operator="Contains", value="Miles Davis"
- ICS support (features only available for ICS phones):
- Added control buttons to the notification status (play/pause, next, close).
- Added option to control PlayerPro from the Android built-in lockscreen: go to Settings / Lockscreen settings and select "Android Native" as lockscreen value. A prerequisite is that you have activated the "Headset override" option from the Headset settings.
- The tag editor now supports the "album artist" tag. It can be used to remove duplicate albums. Please follow these steps to remove duplicate albums:
- Make sure that all songs belonging to the same album are in the same folder on your sdcard.
- Make sure that all duplicate album songs have the same "album" tag: long press the duplicate album, select the "edit" option, check the checkbox next to the "album" textbox, input the "album" name and finally save the changes using the "save" button.
